The Harrows collection includes names such as Supergrip and Retina among its flights, alongside other listed equipment. Pay attention to the complete product description: a family name can appear on more than one type of item, and similar graphics do not establish identical dimensions or fitting systems.

Choose flights by shape before artwork

Flight artwork is an enjoyable part of personalising a set, but shape deserves the first comparison. Place your existing flight beside the product outline and check the named shape and dimensions where provided. The word standard can cover differently sized profiles, so it is worth looking beyond the headline.

Harrows describes its Retina flight with a 100-micron thickness and No6 Standard shape. Use those details as product identifiers, then confirm the exact version in the listing you choose. Thickness is one part of the specification; it should not be read as a guaranteed lifespan or a promise of a particular result at the board.

YOUR EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST

Know when a replacement is a useful reset

Check all three darts together. If one flight has a damaged edge, one shaft is a different length or a flight sits unevenly, the set no longer has a consistent configuration. Replacing worn components gives you a clearer starting point before deciding whether to experiment with another shape.

Keep a matching spare set of flights in your case and store it where the panels will not be crushed. When fitting folded flights, open the panels evenly and check that the base sits correctly in the shaft. Follow the instructions for any specialist flight-retention system instead of forcing parts together.

Match shafts to your existing setup

Before buying a Harrows shaft, identify the model, thread and length. The listed Colette family is a reminder that product names and fitting arrangements need to be checked individually. Do not assume that a familiar-looking shaft uses the same retention method as the one you currently play with.

If you are replacing a broken part, match the specification first. If you are experimenting with a different length, change all three darts consistently and keep the original flights and barrels for the comparison. Browse dart shafts to compare the listed options and check any required small components before ordering.

Look beyond a player's name when choosing darts

A player-associated Harrows set can be an appealing starting point, but its shape should still suit your own grip. Compare barrel length, diameter, weight and the position of the machined grip. Ask whether your fingers will naturally sit on the areas intended to provide contact.

Use the full generation and model reference when replacing a set you already know. A later edition may change important details even when it carries the same player’s name. If you are unsure, photograph the existing barrel and record its measurements before exploring the darts collection.

Build a small, organised maintenance kit

A useful kit is one you can understand quickly during a game. Keep replacement flights grouped by shape and shafts grouped by length. Include only the tools appropriate for your equipment, and keep small parts in a closed compartment. Label unusual components so you can identify them again when it is time to reorder.

Make a note of the configuration that feels comfortable: dart model and weight, shaft length, flight shape and any retention parts. That record turns the next purchase into a simple match rather than a search through similar photographs. Explore replacement flights or ask Perth Dart Centre about a Harrows component.

Harrows equipment questions

Does the same range name mean the same component?

No. Read whether the item is a flight, shaft or complete dart, then check the full model description. Range names can appear across different equipment categories.

Should I replace just one damaged flight?

Use a replacement that matches the other two in shape and specification. If you cannot identify a matching item, a complete matching set creates a more consistent configuration.

Will a different flight improve my scores?

A different shape may change the way a setup behaves, but there is no universal result. Test it with the rest of the equipment unchanged and judge whether it suits your own throw.
