Shot Darts and Home Setup Equipment

Shot darts invite a closer look at barrel shape, grip placement and the way a design fits your hand. Browse the Shot collection at Perth Dart Centre to compare listed dart families and supporting equipment. Start with the contact points you use when throwing, then choose a design whose useful details line up with those positions.

Names such as Zen, Tribal Weapon and Birds of Prey distinguish product families, but they do not replace the individual specification. Compare the exact model, weight and generation before ordering, especially if you are matching a set you already own.

Use the Zen range to compare different profiles

Zen Juji and Zen Kensho offer a clear reason to look beyond the range name. Shot identifies Juji as an 80% tungsten model with a short, front-weighted bomber profile, while Kensho is identified as a 90% tungsten model. That does not turn the tungsten percentage into a ranking of how well either will suit you.

Read the full dimensions and grip description for the exact weight. If you prefer a compact contact area, compare the shorter shapes. If your fingers spread further along the barrel, check usable length and where the grip changes. Product photographs are most helpful when considered beside measurements and your own grip position.

YOUR EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST

Find the grip areas your fingers will actually use

A visually intricate barrel may have several different textures. Identify the areas touched by your thumb and fingers and compare those sections first. A sharp-looking detail elsewhere on the barrel may contribute little to the way you hold it. Likewise, a smooth area can be useful if it gives you a comfortable reference point.

When exploring Tribal Weapon, Birds of Prey or another listed Shot family, keep the comparison practical. Note whether you want a defined location for your fingers or more freedom to adjust your hold. Avoid choosing solely by an overall grip rating, because texture placement and personal preference matter as much as the headline description.

Separate a new dart from a new configuration

New darts may arrive with a shaft and flight combination different from your current setup. Read the supplied-components list so you understand what has changed. If the throw feels different, the barrel is not necessarily the only reason. Compare the complete configuration before drawing conclusions.

Keep the supplied parts together and record any changes you make. If you test alternative shafts or flights, change one factor at a time. A simple note of the model, weight, shaft length and flight shape makes it easier to return to a familiar arrangement.

Bring the Shot collection into the playing area

The listed equipment also includes items for the space around the board, such as mats, surrounds and cabinet sets. Decide what your room needs before choosing a matching collection of accessories. A surround and a mat cover different areas, and a cabinet requires space for the doors as well as the board itself.

Check dimensions, mounting instructions and the exact contents of any set. If a board is already installed, measure it and photograph the surrounding space before adding accessories. Look through dartboard accessories to build a practical shortlist that works with your existing room.

Choose a gift with useful information behind it

Distinctive dart designs can make an appealing gift, but darts are personal equipment. If possible, find out the recipient’s current weight, barrel style and preferred setup. A photograph of the existing set can help identify the type of product they enjoy without relying on guesses about skill level.

For someone who already has a favourite set, storage or a compatible board-area item may be worth considering. Confirm dimensions and fit before buying. To compare a particular Shot model, contact Perth Dart Centre with the complete name and the details you want to match.

Shot darts questions

Are all Zen darts the same shape?

No. Zen is a range containing different models. Check the individual barrel profile, weight and grip layout rather than assuming that one Zen dart represents the entire collection.

Does a higher tungsten percentage make a dart better for me?

It describes the material composition, not your personal fit. Compare the resulting dimensions, weight and grip areas. A comfortable, repeatable hold is a more useful goal than choosing by percentage alone.

Can I keep my existing flights and shafts?

Check compatibility first. If the connections and systems match, familiar components can provide a useful reference, but compare the assembled setup carefully and retain the supplied parts.
